Aero Reg’s public lookup is free to use. This policy applies if you take out a paid plan: it explains how to cancel, your statutory cooling-off rights, and when you are entitled to a refund. It supplements our Terms & Conditions.
Plans & billing#
Paid plans are billed through PayPal. The fee, billing period, and any renewal terms are those shown to you at the point of subscribing. Recurring plans continue, and renew automatically at the start of each new billing period, until you cancel. We never see or store your card or bank details.
Cancelling a plan#
You can cancel a recurring plan at any time:
- From your account settings, or by emailing legal@aeroreg.co.uk.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal — you will not be charged again.
- Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; it is not cut off immediately.
Your 14-day cooling-off right#
If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription and receive a refund. One important exception applies to digital services:
If you ask to start using a paid plan immediately — within the 14-day cooling-off period — you agree that the service begins straight away. Once it has been fully provided you lose the right to a full refund, and if you cancel part-way through we may charge for the portion you have used. If you have not used the service, you remain entitled to a full refund within the 14 days.
Refunds outside the cooling-off period#
Once the cooling-off period has passed, fees already paid for the current billing period are generally non-refundable, and cancelling simply stops future renewals. We may, at our discretion, offer a full or pro-rata refund in circumstances such as:
- Billing errors
- A duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or a charge after you cancelled — we will always put these right.
- Extended outage
- A prolonged failure of the paid service that we were unable to resolve.
If you think you have been charged in error, contact us and we will investigate promptly.
How refunds are paid#
Approved refunds are returned through PayPal to the original payment method used for the purchase. The time it takes to appear on your statement depends on PayPal and your bank.
Your statutory rights#
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Where this policy is more generous than the law requires, the more generous term applies.
